La obra hace un recorrido por las distintas maneras de entender la planificación turística en cada una de las Comunidades Autónomas que conforman nuestro Estado, mostrando no sólo la dimensión puramente normativa sino evaluando críticamente, tanto para el conjunto de Comunidades como para cada una ellas, la definición y estructuración del mecanismo planificador. En la primera parte los autores nos obsequian con interesantes reflexiones o verdades 'incómodas' sobre lo que se ha encontrado en el análisis, tanto desde una visión general como particular. En la segunda parte se nos muestra la morfología planificadora estándar en materia turística. Estamos ante una obra ideal para investigadores de distintos campos como la Economía –en su dimensión pública y aplicada–, el Derecho, la Sociología o la Geografía –dentro del Análisis Regional–. Pero no se cierra a un abanico más amplio de lectores implicados o interesados en el Turismo y la Planificación.
