En este contexto, las metáforas funcionan como esquemas políticos que dan forma al discurso público y presentan la realidad política de una manera específica, al tiempo que influyen en su evaluación. Este libro recoge los resultados de una investigación sobre cómo los distintos actores presentes en la esfera pública española han configurado discursivamente el proceso independentista de Cataluña y la crisis europea de los refugiados a través de la metáfora.
