Para ello emiten por la radio local una noticia falsa y sorprendente, sobre el Concilio Vaticano III: «el celibato ha sido abolido con tan solo una cláusula: sólo podrán contraer matrimonio los sacerdotes en edad comprendida entre veinticinco y cuarenta años». Como parte de la broma, se convence a una prostituta, la Trini, que se interese por el cura. El Padre José tiene cuarenta y un años. Lo que comienza como una burla pronto se convierte en una muestra despiadada de la crueldad psicológica.
A través de juegos y representaciones teatrales, ésta obra nos acerca el fenómeno de la integración de un extranjero en una comunidad. Aunque el idioma utilizado es el inglés, se podría adaptar a cualquier situación lingüística.
