Savia Social Science makes learning history and geography a pleasure for pupils. Motivating illustrations, timelines, discovery, learning trivia and mind maps make understanding contents easy for young learners.At SM we know that education stands for development. 'Savia' means 'sap' in Spanish, and, just like plant sap, education nourishes, develops and generates life, and it is in constant renovation. Education is the new sap that fuels the future.This is Savia: a global project designed for all educational stages underpinned by a solid model based on values education where everything revolves around the pupil and aims to improve their results by focusing on different learning rhythms and styles. The project emerges from our mission to service and help teachers, providing them with the ideal resources to perform their everyday tasks. Savia reflects our commitment to education through the flexible introduction of new methodologies and technologies that can efficiently improve the quality of education.

El proyecto Más Savia para el área de Ciencias Sociales utiliza diferentes herramientas y metodologías didácticas para motivar en el aprendizaje de la materia, facilitar su comprensión y comprobar su aplicación. Para ello, los contenidos en cada epígrafe se organizan en tres fases de aprendizaje: Nos activamos, Comprendemos y Aplicamos, en las que se intercalan actividades que promueven el aprendizaje cooperativo y en las que se identifican de manera explícita las competencias cognitivas y comunicativas que se van a poner en práctica. Esta filosofía general del proyecto de promover un aprendizaje activo se concreta en una serie de Talleres y en la Tarea final que integra conocimientos, habilidades, competencias e inteligencias múltiples. El proyecto Más Savia de Ciencias Sociales facilita el acceso a los contenidos mediante la presentación visual de conceptos y su contextualización, con ilustraciones comentadas y cartografía adaptada al nivel propio de los alumnos de cada curso. Para facilitar la accesibilidad de los contenidos, el proyecto Más Savia de Ciencias Sociales cuida especialmente la redacción y el vocabulario utilizado. La comprensión y el aprendizaje de los contenidos se refuerza con un programa concreto de Comprensión lectora. Para progresar e ir superando barreras, las actividades se secuencian por orden de dificultad y las que revisten una especial complejidad, cuentan con apoyos y desarrollos complementarios en el recurso didáctico. El libro incluye el Atlas. Mi mundo, mi país, mi comunidad, que ayuda a ampliar conceptos a través de la cartografía y a desarrollar las destrezas propias de las Ciencias Sociales.

ENGLISH FOR PLURILINGUAL SCHOOLS. 6 PRIMARY. MÁS SAVIA. MURCIA (JORDAN, MARIANNE / THOMPSON, LYDIA / VINCENT, AMANDA)
EPS for Primary is a dynamic CLIL based English course for plurilingual primary schools. It has been created in tandem with our Natural Science primary school course although it also contains shared contexts with Social Science, Music and Arts & Crafts. In this way EPS can complete an entire bilingual school primary education solution. Beginning with an entertaining comic strip the EPS units move from listening and speaking activities to reading and writing activities including the subtle acquisition of language structures through the Ninja Grammar sections. This helps to ensure that The EPS course is primarily communicative. Teachers also have access to over 90 optional grammar videos to reinforce work on language structures. The course includes its own phonics system developed especially for children whose first language is Spanish. Taking into account sounds found already in Spanish to sounds peculiar to English, the phonics element assures the smooth assimilation and practice of English pronunciation. For schools who have another preferred phonics system, the EPS system is modular and thus easy to skip. Videos open a window onto the culture of English speaking countries. EPS also prepares the pupils for the Cambridge English PET and KET exams with dedicated exam practice sections. It comes with complementary workbook and online resources.

NATURAL SCIENCE. 5 PRIMARY. MÁS SAVIA. MURCIA (BILINGUAL TEAM S.M)
The MAS SAVIA Project for Natural Science takes advantage of different tools and methodologies to motivate the learning, understanding and application of the contents. The contents of each learning block are organized into three learning moments: Let's Get Started, Let's Understand and Let's use. Inserted between these are Make a Change (service-learning activities with many opportunities to work using co-operative strategies) in which both communicative and cognitive skills are put into practice. Many of the Let's Get Started and Let's Use sections take the form of experimental workshops. This general philosophy of promoting active learning is manifest in the final Making a Change task which integrates knowledge, skills and multiple intelligences. Natural Science takes the CLIL approach to making language and contents accessible with careful scaffolding of language and the visual summarizing of content. There are regular opportunities to review what has been learned. Attention to diversity is catered for by online testing which can give the teacher a clear and immediate evaluation of the class's performance by identifying students who may be having difficulties. Natural Science has been created in tandem with EPS: a new CLIL based English course for plurilingual primary schools which integrates closely with the Natural Science learning paths

PLÁSTICA. 6 PRIMARIA. SAVIA. COMUNIDAD DE MADRID (CONDE MIRANDA, FÉLIX / BLANCO ALONSO, VANESA)
El proyecto Savia para Plástica acerca a los alumnos a la observación y la experiencia artística a través de conceptos contextualizados e ilustrados, ejemplos y variados desarrollos prácticos. Tiene un carácter interdisciplinar, y permite reforzar contenidos de las áreas de Ciencias Sociales y Ciencias de la Naturaleza además de prestar especial atención al trabajo en valores a través de secciones como Valorarte.El libro del alumno presenta actividades de observación y expresión que fomentan el uso de diferentes materiales. También incluye propuestas tridimensionales y trabajos colaborativos y cooperativos. Además, al final del libro encontraras propuestas trimestrales de trabajo con dioramas recortables. En Saviadigital se ofrecen numerosas propuestas interactivas que completan el proyecto.
