En el presente libro se recogen los resultados de una investigación metodológica realizada por el Área de investigación y Gestión de Redes de Ciencia Tecnología e Innovación de la Cátedra Miguel Sánchez-Mazas de la Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. La tarea de evaluar la actividad científica en las Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades resulta compleja por la heterogeneidad de disciplinas que coexisten en este campo cuyos modos de producir y distribuir conocimiento presentan particularidades. Asumir esta heterogeneidad disciplinaria y su consiguiente complejidad evaluadora ha conllevado el desafío de diseñar una propuesta metodológica de evaluación integral.
Aquest llibre és un recull d?entrevistes a personalitats diverses del món de la ciència i del pensament ?vinculades totes elles a la institució universitària?, fruit de converses emeses al programa Campus 33 de Televisió de Catalunya entre octubre de 2004 i juny de 2005, que tracten sobre qüestions referides al paper social de la ciència i de la recerca, a determinats aspectes ètics i morals de l?activitat humana, i a la universitat com a motor de desenvolupament social, econòmic i cultural de l?entorn. En aquestes pàgines hom pot veure confirmades o contrariades moltes de les seves idees. Per això aquest és, sobretot, un llibre de referències entre les quals es poden cercar respostes o amb les quals es poden justificar noves aportacions al pensament humà.

El Instituto de Evaluación del Ministerio de Educación lleva trabajando en estudios de evaluación comparada en colaboración con distintas instituciones internacionales. PISA es uno de los más relevantes de este tipo. Representa el compromiso de los países de la OCDE para medir los resultados de los sistemas educativos partiendo del rendimiento de los alumnos en tres competencias básicas: lectura, matemáticas y ciencias. En 2009 PISA vuelve a enfocarse en la comprensión lectora. El marco de la evaluación se ha actualizado e incluye también la lectura digital. El informe recoge la versión más reciente de los cuestionarios de contexto y el marco teórico en que se inscriben. En esta edición cabe destacar la participación activa de España y el resto de los países del Grupo Iberoamericano de PISA en la elaboración de unidades de lectura de las que se recogen algunos ejemplos en este libro.

Éste es un curso sobre una de las aplicaciones del paquete integrado OpenOffice.org, en concreto sobre la hoja de cálculo de este paquete, denominada OpenOffice Calc. No es un curso meramente instrumental, es decir, no se trata sólo de dominar las destrezas de dicha herramienta, sino, sobre todo, de pensar en la aplicación como un recurso didáctico aplicable en todas las áreas y asignaturas, especialmente en las de ciencias. Es un curso eminentemente práctico, destinado al profesorado que pretende desarrollar técnicas y destrezas para la confección y uso de modelos de hoja de cálculo susceptibles de ayudar al profesorado en su práctica docente. El curso se estructura en diez sesiones: conocimientos elementales; modelos elementales; tablas y gráficos; informes y apuntes; cálculos y utilidades; tratamiento de datos estadísticos; análisis de datos; análisis de datos (profundización); algoritmos y macros; modelos de resolución; simulaciones.
