Pelehonuamea (Pele), the creator of the Hawaiian Islands? is known by many names. Names which describe her elemental forms; Pele is the goddess of volanoes and the deity of volanic forces. Pele resides in Halema?uma?u Crater, located within the much larger summit caldera of K?lauea on the island of Hawai?i.
