LA TIERRA Y EL TERRADO
Terrat de la Pedrera, Antoni Gaudí dóna al paratge una qualitat de realitat sostinguda, de ferm concavat, capriciós, de ferm autoral. D'entrada, la contundència amb què l'autor ens hi aclapara, expressa una voluntat extraordinària per fer-nos, encara avui, espectadors seus, investigadors seus, descobridors seus... L'arquitectura i tot allò que aquella arquitectura aguaita se sustenten sobre una molt recóndita intimitat de l'autor, sobre la subjectivitat, l'enginy i la perícia amb què l'autor ha rubricat tots aquells materials i, d'aquella rúbrica estant, els materials ens increpen i ens fan seus com si nosaltres fóssim tot just la seva part sensorial més externa.

BIENAL DE LA HABANA PARA LEER
Hoy en día, el arte puede ser leído, gracias a las incontables publicaciones especializadas y a los encuentros que congrega a decenas de expertos de todo el mundo. La Bienal de La Habana no escapa a este fenómeno actual de la “lectura”, porque desde su fundación en 1984, reúne un espectro amplio de personalidades con el propósito de intercambiar ideas y reflexiones acerca de numerosos aspectos del arte contemporáneo. Los textos presentados en el presente volumen fueron solicitados a notables teóricos, expertos, críticos, profesores, incluso a artistas decididos a compartir ideas y experiencias, a lo largo de veinticinco años. Agrupados siguiendo una coherencia entre sus problemáticas, la mayoría fueron leídos por sus autores frente al público participante de los encuentros de teoría y crítica, mientras que otros fueron extraídos de los catálogos de las bienales. Un volumen abierto que permite confrontar la riqueza de las ideas nacidas del oficio de curar, criticar y teorizar en tiempos poco o nada historiados aun.
