For over 15 years, Robin Howie?s popular walking column appeared in The Scotsman every Saturday. He is very well known in Scottish hill-walking circles. This second collection of his walks features many colour photographs of Scotland?s beautiful countryside. These are mostly shorter walks from all across Scotland that will appeal to a wide range of walkers, including children and those less active. Each walk, indicated by a location map, includes a Fact File identifying the relevant Ordnance Survey map for the walk, along with the walk?s distance, height, terrain, starting point, walking time and the all-important refreshment spot. Are you new to the world of hill-walking? Or maybe you?ve already completed all or some of the Munros, Corbetts, Donalds, Grahams or Marilyns? Wanting something easier and new? Doing the ?Howies? will be bags of fun. ?
