I spent my childhood holidays at the beach, on the Mornington Peninsula south of Melbourne. The many happy holiday times I enjoyed there with family and friends warm my heart with gratitude. I developed a love of all things seaside - making sandcastles, paddling through the shallows and going on rambles with my brother looking for shells, interesting seaweeds and finding sea life in the rockpools. I loved - and still love - discovering the different types of plant and animal life which beaches offer - their intricate details and changing forms. Nature has a truly incredible range of life. This has always enchanted me. Along with natural beauty of the beach, I absolutely loved spending time at the beach house - family time with good people, good food and good memories. Picking cherries and strawberries at local farms, eating ice creams while walking on the beach, boat rides with cousins - I wouldn't trade these holiday memories for anything!
