This atlas describes in detailed and systematic form the avian necropsy technique. In its first chapter, structured by organs from the skin all the way to the nervous system, the simple necropsy is displayed, explaining how to inspect each one of the organs, systems and displaying its aspect when no lesions are present. The second chapter describes the pathologies of birds usually found in slaughterhouses, through several images and with the same layout as the previous chapter. Finally, the third chapter offers guidelines and methodology to be considered in the sampling during a necropsy, to enable posterior diagnostic tests. With over 200 images this book guarantees the maximum efficiency of the avian necropsy procedure.
